    In North Ryde there is a great Italian Delicatessen - Delitalia.
    Italian Dellies are tricky to rate on Yelp, I mean the pro forma questions are, in order:

    "Romantic?"     yes - but only if I go with Keeno and she doesn't find out how much cheese I bought.
     
    "Intimate?"    yep - no doubt ! - squeezing past other people negotiating the stock stacked high in the aisle I got way closer to someones Nonna than I wanted  - believe me.

    "Touristy?"      spose so? Close your eyes and you could be in ... Haberfield?

    "Hipster?"    It's hard for me to talk about it, but I'm pretty sure that old lady tried to learn if I was wearing any.

    "Classy?"    No she wasn't

    "Trendy?"     No - dellies are only good if they are honest and authentic - ergo not trendy

    "Upmarket?"    Absolutely not. Great value

    "Casual?"     I was until I ran into Gina Lollobrigida - I was on the grid after that

    This place is good for stuff that you won't find in super markets like grana padano, reggiano, bocconcini, ricotta, buffalo milk mozzarella, De Cecco pasta and stuff like that. Staples that make or break a good home meal. Saves a trip to the Inner West but only for the staples. Still go to Ramsay St for a bunch of other stuff.

    Nice Italian Deli with good selection of meat and cheese at reasonable prices. They also have a nice gelato cake. They serve coffee and cakes at the front (but I have not tried)
